Recently, Beiken Energy received a commendation letter from the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Development Department of CNPC, praising Beiken Energy for its outstanding achievements in the fracturing technical services for the Lu 208H2A platform.
The Luzhou block, where the platform is located, has highly active formations. During the fracturing operations, the inconsistent progress of various platforms in the same block led to concentrated stresses near the wellbores of the Lu 208H2A platform, and increased the risk of casing deformation.
Facing this challenge, Beiken Energy strictly followed the instructions of the Development Department and closely cooperated with the engineering team to implement a series of robust technical measures. By adopting strategies such as temporary plugging and steering, fracturing string protection, crossing minor faults, and avoiding high-risk sections, Beiken Energy ensured that there were no casing deformations occurred throughout the operations.
Under the scientific guidance of the Southwest Oil and Gas Field Development Department and the Shale Gas Research Institute, Beiken Energy achieved zero failures and zero complications throughout the entire operation. Furthermore, Beiken Energy sets a new efficiency record in Lu 208 Well Area, completing fracturing operations on five wells in the southern branch at a rate of 1.64 stages per day, surpassing the previous average efficiency benchmark.
