On the afternoon of May 15th, the first session of the "Southwest Petroleum University-Beiken Forum" jointly launched by Beiken Energy and Southwest Petroleum University officially kicked off at the School of Mechanical Engineering of Southwest Petroleum University. For this session, Lu Dengyun, the chief expert, professor-level senior engineer, and doctoral supervisor from the China National Petroleum Corporation Chuanqing Drilling Engineering Company Limited, was invited to deliver the keynote speech.
With the topic of "A Brief Analysis of Drilling, Completion, and Stimulation Techniques in Sichuan-Chongqing Region," Lu presented an in-depth yet accessible explanation of the drilling techniques, cementing, completion testing, and stimulation techniques in deep, ultra-deep, and unconventional formations in the Sichuan-Chongqing region.
He also combined his own work experience to propose the future research directions for unconventional oil and gas exploration and development in the Sichuan-Chongqing region. He encouraged the faculty and students of the university to study hard, innovate, and contribute their wisdom and strength to overcome the challenges in exploration and development in the Sichuan-Chongqing region.
After the presentation, faculty and students eagerly posed questions related to the lecture content to Chief Lu. Chief Lu patiently listened to each question and provided detailed answers, combining his vast practical experience and profound professional knowledge. The faculty and students in attendance benefited greatly from his insights.
This forum attracted more than 300 teachers and students from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to attend, and leaders such as Wang Zhongjun, Executive President of Beiken, Li Yuanjun, Vice president of Beiken, and Han Chuanjun, dean of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Southwest Petroleum University also attended the scene to listen to the wonderful sharing of Lu.
