On August 11, on the eve of the 7th China (Karamay) International Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (Karamay Oil & Gas Expo), a delegation from Nigeria's Heirs Energies Ltd. visited Beiken Energy for technical discussions and a site inspection. The delegation, led by Fidelis Apokojiran, Assistant Vice President of Administration, was warmly received by Beiken Energy Vice President Li Yuanjun, who accompanied the guests throughout their visit.
Invited by the Karamay Municipal Government to attend the expo, Heirs Energies made Beiken Energy its first stop upon arriving in Karamay for in-depth discussions and field observations.
Following a comprehensive corporate presentation, the delegation highly commended Beiken Energy's extensive expertise accumulated through years of specialization in oil and gas development services. Discussions centered on key technical areas including workover operations, compression technology, AI-driven digital oilfield solutions, multiphase boosting, as well as CNG and LNG applications relevant to hydrocarbon production.
The visit included an inspection of Beiken Energy's operational sites, where the delegation gained firsthand insight into the company's standardized and intelligent drilling operations. They particularly praised Beiken's clean-energy initiative utilizing gas-fueled power generation for drilling rigs, recognizing its efficiency and environmental benefits.
Background:
Heirs Energies is a rapidly expanding Nigerian oil and gas producer. In 2021, the company partnered with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to acquire OML-17. This 1,300-square-kilometer block holds over 1 billion barrels of oil reserves and more than 20 trillion cubic feet of natural gas, currently producing approximately 50,000 barrels per day. Heirs Energies is actively seeking partners for the efficient long-term development of OML-17.
